Job summary

BlackBerry, via its Secusmart unit, seeks a QA engineer to drive software testing quality across Android and iOS apps. You will participate in Agile SCRUM, collaborate with testers, developers and product management, and design automated and manual test cases for secure messaging platforms.

The role emphasizes cross-team collaboration, process improvements, and delivering high-quality releases in regular cadences to customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in computer science or related field.
• 5–8 years SV&V for Android and iOS in Agile environments.
• Strong analysis of performance, client-server and root-cause issues.
• Familiarity with SCRUM and CI practices (nightly builds/releases).
• Strong written and verbal communication; collaborative spirit.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, dispersed work setting.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of Agile SCRUM with stakeholders.
• Perform in-sprint QA to ensure production-grade quality.
• Analyze and reproduce complex issues from test results.
• Design and automate test cases and scripts for apps.
• Lead process improvements and knowledge sharing initiatives.
