Responsibilities
- Identify client life and financial goals, potential barriers, provide recommendations, and ongoing relationship / portfolio management
- Identify opportunities to refer clients to Partners (i.e., across Wealth, Retail, Small Business Banking, Commercial)
- Provide ongoing comprehensive reviews of clients’ financial circumstances and create long-term relationships by providing financial planning expertise and ongoing services
- Create a legendary customer experience at every interaction and deliver a positive “First Impression” by engaging customers in sales, service and informational conversations
- Provide sound advice to customers and contribute to ongoing improvement of the overall customer experience
- Support ONE TD by identifying and referring customers to internal Bank partners as appropriate
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of the real estate market, mortgage lending industry offers, and economic trends
- Proactively obtain expert knowledge of TD mortgage lending products
- Ensure customer problems are handled professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary
- Build and exhibit sales skills and credit knowledge and partner effectively within TD’s culture
- Work closely with District Manager to make sales calls and conduct monthly coaching sessions
- Contribute toward the achievement of sales and business development objectives by meeting or exceeding individual monthly sales targets of mortgage products and services
- Promote TD’s image within the business community through leadership in community groups, networking events, initiatives, fundraisers, etc.
- Support the development and implementation of compliant reporting and processes
- Understand market and mortgage lending industry within portfolio to provide value-added reporting and analysis while mitigating risk
- Exercise discretion in managing correspondence and confidential information
- Protect the interests of the organization by identifying and managing risks
- Monitor service, productivity and efficiency; implement continuous improvements
- Adhere to internal policies and regulatory guidelines; stay informed of regulatory developments
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control with effective processes
- Complete all compliance training and attestations within required timelines
- Be knowledgeable of and comply with Bank and Industry Codes of Conduct
- Participate fully as a member of the team, promote service, quality, innovation and teamwork
- Support the team by enhancing knowledge and participating in knowledge transfer
- Keep current on emerging trends and deepen knowledge of the business and tools
- Engage in performance management and development conversations
- Contribute to a fair and positive working environment and participate in team activities
- Assist others with duties, provide training or guidance as appropriate
- Act as a brand ambassador for the business area and the bank
- Provide business development, relationship management and / or sales advisory support within the area of specialty
- Maintain knowledge of products / services, competitors, and key customer drivers
- Identify referral opportunities at increasing levels of complexity
- Coordinate activities across teams to meet customer needs
- Execute moderately complex sales or account management processes
- Analyze possible alternative solutions based on customer data
- Support sales targets and influence related teams
- Explain information clearly to customers and coordinate service standards
- Work under management guidance and supervision
- Identify opportunities to contribute to problem resolution
- Typically reports to a Manager or above
Experience And / Or Education
- Undergraduate degree or community college diploma preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a client-facing, sales or relationship-focused role
