Qualifications

What you'll do
  • Performance of ongoing preventive maintenance and repair response work orders on facility HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.
  • Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC systems and associated equipment, some electrical, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to assigned buildings.
  • Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as‑found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to all emergencies.
  • Prepare and submit to management summary reports listing conditions found in the performance of assigned work and recommend and/or suggest action to be taken.
  • Study and become familiar with the various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly, that are required in everyday activities. This includes HVAC, electrical, building automation systems, fire/life safety systems, and any other building related equipment.
  • Have a strong Customer Satisfaction mindset. Drive a culture and result of cultivating, creating and maintaining an “Excellent Customer Experience.”
  • Have a strong Health and Safety mindset. Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards, report them and propose methods to eliminate, mitigate and control them.
  • Ensure compliance to National, Municipal, Provincial, City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
  • Must be willing and able to support any after‑hours building related activity as required.
  • Attend periodic training as required to support the business.
  • Other assigned operational tasks as may be typically expected of the Mobile HVAC Technician role.
We're looking for
  • Minimum of five (5) years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background in technical aspects of packaged and built‑up HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment repair and maintenance and overall building system design and application.
  • High School diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from a certified college.
  • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic (RACM) or HVAC Certificate of Qualification is required. Interprovincial/Red Seal Certification is an asset.
  • Gasfitter A or B is required.
  • Canadian ODP Certification.
  • Candidate must possess and maintain a current valid driver’s license.
  • Must meet security clearance requirements.
  • On‑call duties and overtime as required.
