Job summary

Focus Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced Mobile Application Developer and Support Analyst to support SAP development, operations, and maintenance activities.

You will create, test, implement, and support SAP software solutions to meet business needs within an enterprise SAP environment. You will work with the SAP Developer team and Functional Consultants to deliver MDK mobile apps on SAP BTP, extend Fiori apps, integrate OData services with SAP S/4HANA, manage offline synchronization, and

Qualifications

• SAP certification in BTP, MDK, or Mobile Services.
• At least three years of hands-on experience with SAP MDK, SAP BAS, and SAP BTP Mobile Services.
• Ability to design, build and deploy Fiori applications and extensions.
• Post-secondary education in computer technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide SAP support, operations, and maintenance services for SAP systems and related applications.
• Design, develop, test, and implement customizations per SAP standards.
• Provide technical leadership for new SAP solutions and support break/fix work.
• Analyze requirements and prepare development schedules, tasks, and estimates.
• Prepare designs, participate in reviews, and resolve defects.
• Analyze root causes and implement fixes for issues in production and development.
• Collaborate with SAP teams and stakeholders across technology.
• Assess vendor patches and their impact on custom code.
• Document RICEFW objects and support version control.
• Develop backend extensions using SAP CAP with Node.js or Java and manage HDI containers on SAP HANA Cloud.
• Configure destinations, roles, authentication using OAuth or SAML, and security policies.
• Implement native device integrations (camera, GPS, file uploads, etc.).
• Debug, test MDK apps and support UAT; ensure security, accessibility, and docs.

• Resource Location: Onshore and offshore candidates will be considered
• Standard Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CST
• Offshore Schedule Requirement: Minimum four-hour overlap with Regina business hours, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. CST

Role Overview

The Mobile Application Developer and Support Analyst will support SAP development, operations, and maintenance activities by creating, testing, implementing, and supporting SAP software solutions that meet business needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with the SAP Developer team, Functional Consultants, and other technology areas to deliver SAP MDK mobile applications on SAP BTP, develop and extend Fiori applications, integrate OData services with SAP S/4HANA, manage offline synchronization, implement backend extensions, configure security, troubleshoot issues, and produce clear technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support, operations, and maintenance services for SAP systems and related applications.
• Design, develop, test, and implement customizations in accordance with the enterprise and SAP development standards.
• Provide technical leadership for new SAP solutions and support custom development and SAP module customization, including break/fix work and updates.
• Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare development schedules, tasks, and estimates.
• Prepare technical designs and specifications, participate in design and code reviews, and resolve defects.
• Analyze root causes and implement solutions for production and development issues.
• Collaborate with the SAP Developer team, SAP Functional Resources, and other technology stakeholders.
• Assess vendor patches, upgrades, and releases and resolve their impact on custom code.
• Document RICEFW objects, prepare new SAP development objects, and support quality assurance and version control.
• Develop backend extensions using SAP CAP with Node.js or Java and create and maintain HDI containers and database artifacts on SAP HANA Cloud.
• Configure destinations, roles, authentication using OAuth or SAML, and related security policies.
• Implement native device integrations, including camera and photo capture, GPS and location services, barcode and QR scanning, file uploads, and annotations.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize MDK applications; perform unit testing and collaborate on user acceptance testing.Ensure compliance with corporate security, usability, and accessibility standards and produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in support of computer technology.
• SAP certification in BTP, MDK, or Mobile Services.
• At least three years of hands‑on experience with SAP MDK, SAP BAS, and SAP BTP Mobile Services.
• Ability to design, build and deploy Fiori applications and extensions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proficiency creating MDK pages, rules, and actions.
• Experience integrating OData services from SAP S/4HANA and managing offline synchronization.
• Ability to design, build, and deploy Fiori applications and extensions.
• Experience supporting SAP applications, resolving production issues, and performing root‑cause analysis.
• Experience with technical design, technical specifications, code reviews, unit testing, and user acceptance testing support.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with SAP developers, Functional Consultants, and other technology stakeholders.
