Job summary

S.I. Systems Ltd. is seeking an ML/AI Engineer for a project with Canada's largest retailer to build ML and agentic AI solutions that derive insights from data and optimize digital advertising campaigns.

The ideal candidate is a machine learning generalist who can design, train, and deploy models into production, with experience in NLP/LLMs and AI agents (LangGraph). Location: Toronto (1 day per week onsite).

Qualifications

• Strong experience building end-to-end Machine Learning solutions and deploying ML models into production.
• Experience building AI Agents or Agentic frameworks (LangGraph).
• Experience with Langfuse for LLM observability, tracing, and evaluation.
• Experience working with LLMs and NLP applications.
• Proficient in Python, GO, and SQL.
• Cloud experience: GCP Preferred, AWS/Azure accepted.

• Design and build ML- and AI-driven solutions to support analytics and advertising initiatives.
• Develop agentic AI capabilities that allow systems to query and analyze business data autonomously.
• Build, train, and deploy machine learning models in production environments.
• Develop NLP and LLM-based applications for data insights and decision support.
• Work closely with engineering managers and cross-functional teams to define technical deliverables.
• Provide regular progress updates and maintain strong communication with stakeholders.
• Contribute to expanding features and capabilities for an existing alpha-stage AI product.
