Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Toronto is seeking a Fall 2026 Marketing Intern for 4 or 8 months to support business development, proposals, communications, and event coordination.

The role provides hands-on experience in proposal development, content creation, and marketing operations within a fast-paced construction environment, reporting to the Marketing Manager. On-site work is required, with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using Canva, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Interest in communications, business operations, or project environments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the production of proposals, presentations, and prequalification materials.
  • Support content development, formatting, and organization of pursuit materials.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure consistency in messaging and brand standards.
  • Draft and edit communications, including monthly newsletters, project updates, and marketing content.
  • Assist in building presentations and visual materials for internal and external audiences.
  • Conduct research to support pursuits and marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain and update marketing databases, including project profiles, resumes, and client information.
  • Support tracking of leads, opportunities, and project information.
  • Assist with planning and organizing internal and external events.
  • Support logistics, communications, invitations, and post‑event follow‑ups.
  • Assist with the development of marketing materials and graphics.
  • Support digital asset management and social media marketing efforts.
  • Help maintain brand standards across all materials and communications.

Hourly rate range for this position may be CA$20.00 to CA$24.00 per hour, depending on experience and fit.

THE MARKETING INTERN OPPORTUNITY

Turner Construction’s Toronto office is seeking a full-time, Marketing Intern (4-8 months). The role requires availability to work on-site or at the head office, Monday to Friday, for 40 hours per week, and will report to the Marketing Manager.

About the Role

The Marketing & Communications Intern will support the business unit marketing team with activities related to business development, proposals, communications, and event coordination.

This role provides hands‑on experience across proposal development, content creation, and marketing operations in a fast‑paced, project‑based environment. The intern will contribute to both internal and external initiatives, gaining exposure to how marketing and communications support business growth and project delivery.

What You’ll Do
Business Development & Proposal Support
  • Assist in the production of proposals, presentations, and prequalification materials.
  • Support content development, formatting, and organization of pursuit materials.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure consistency in messaging and brand standards.
Content & Communications
  • Draft and edit communications, including monthly newsletters, project updates, and marketing content.

Research & Data Management
  • Conduct research to support pursuits and marketing initiatives.

Basic Qualifications
