Job summary

Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools is seeking Substitute Educational Assistants to work in St. Albert, Morinville and Legal. The role supports Christ-centered education values, and aims to apply First Nations, Métis and Inuit knowledge to benefit all students.

Preference will be given to applicants who completed the Education Assistant Program and have experience assisting children with diverse needs. Training such as non-violent crisis intervention, First Aid and CPR is an asset.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate Christ-centered education values and beliefs.
• Apply knowledge of First Nations, Métis and Inuit to support all students.
• Preference given to applicants with Education Assistant program completion and related training.
• Experience assisting children with diverse needs; First Aid/CPR training is an asset.

• Assist teachers in implementing inclusive learning environments.
• Contribute to safeguarding students and maintaining a respectful classroom.
