Job summary

Skeena Gold + Silver Limited is seeking a Health & Safety Field Technician for the Eskay Creek Project in northwestern British Columbia. You will provide practical field-based safety support to supervisors, employees, and contractors, focusing on visible field safety engagement, hazard identification, JHAs and risk assessments.

The role is highly field-focused (80–90% in active work areas) with a 15 on/13 off site-based camp schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field-based safety experience in mining or related heavy industry.
• Experience conducting field inspections, hazard assessments, and control verification.
• Experience assisting with workplace incident investigations including evidence gathering and causal analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical field safety engagement across the Eskay Creek Project.
• Support JHAs, FLHAs, and other risk assessments.
• Verify critical controls, permits, and safeguards in the field.
• Participate in inspections, toolbox talks, and pre-job planning.
• Coach supervisors and crews on hazard recognition and safe work practices.
• Support incident investigations and follow-up actions.
• Maintain accurate records of field interactions and inspections.
