Job summary

Weir Canada, Inc. is seeking a licensed Millwright (433A) for Sudbury, Ontario. This onsite role requires 5–10 years of post-apprenticeship experience in pumps and rotating equipment, with strong field service and maintenance skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold Journeyman Millwright (433A) license with 5–10 years post-apprenticeship in assembly, repair and overhaul of pumps and rotating equipment.
• Mining industry experience preferred, esp. pump/valve shop background.
• Ability to mentor others and contribute positively to team culture.

Responsibilities

• Machine Installation: install stationary machinery and rotate equipment per layout plans using hand and power tools.
• Field Service: install and commission rotating assemblies in the field; 25–30% time on mine sites; 1–2 week shutdowns 3–4 times a year.
• Equipment Inspection: inspect equipment on arrival and determine repair actions with engineering and management.
• Preventative Maintenance: participate in preventative maintenance to improve reliability.
• Team Collaboration: work with diverse team; maintain positive attitude under pressure.
• Safety First: uphold zero harm culture in all tasks.
