Purpose
- Survey underground development andlongholestopesasrequired.
- Surveymarkup for underground diamond drilling andlongholedrilling.
- Perform weekly ventilationsurvey.
- Assistplanning team as required for development driving layouts,longholedrilling and blasting layouts, and monitors progress to ensure monthly forecast is achieved.
- Assistwith ground control inspections and audits asrequired.
Responsibilities
- Complete weekly vent surveys.
- Ensure compliance with regulations in terms of monitoring and posting ventilation flows
- Perform development andlongholestope surveysin a timely manner
- Process data and issue drawings illustrating findings to those concerned
- Maintain surveying equipment
- Assistwith month end reporting
- Develop plans and designs that are safe, cost effective andprovide forefficientoreextraction with available resources.
- Optimizeproduction and minimize dilution through mine designs andmineplans.
- Produce LH drilling and blasting layouts
- Produce LHmonth-end(TonnesBroken,Tonnesdrilled, drilled reserves)
- Perform stope engineering reconciliation
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement in safety by reviewing existing engineering designs and implementingnew designs.
- Develop plans and designs for regulatory compliance and compliancetoCompany policies, procedures and standards.
- Promote and adhere to Company safety policies.
Training and Education
- Mine technician or Mining Technologist Diploma or equivalent diploma in related discipline combined with related practical experience.
- Be technically competent and have a good understanding of U/G mining methods
- Two years combined underground engineering and surveying experience.
- Basic Common Core modules considered an asset
- Able to learn new skills quickly
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong commitment to working in a safe manner.
- Motivated individual able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity withDeswik.
