• Survey underground development andlongholestopesasrequired.
• Surveymarkup for underground diamond drilling andlongholedrilling.
• Perform weekly ventilationsurvey.
• Assistplanning team as required for development driving layouts,longholedrilling and blasting layouts, and monitors progress to ensure monthly forecast is achieved.
• Assistwith ground control inspections and audits asrequired.

Responsibilities

• Complete weekly vent surveys.
• Ensure compliance with regulations in terms of monitoring and posting ventilation flows
• Perform development andlongholestope surveysin a timely manner
• Process data and issue drawings illustrating findings to those concerned
• Maintain surveying equipment
• Assistwith month end reporting
• Develop plans and designs that are safe, cost effective andprovide forefficientoreextraction with available resources.
• Optimizeproduction and minimize dilution through mine designs andmineplans.
• Produce LH drilling and blasting layouts
• Produce LHmonth-end(TonnesBroken,Tonnesdrilled, drilled reserves)
• Perform stope engineering reconciliation
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement in safety by reviewing existing engineering designs and implementingnew designs.
• Develop plans and designs for regulatory compliance and compliancetoCompany policies, procedures and standards.
• Promote and adhere to Company safety policies.

Training and Education

• Mine technician or Mining Technologist Diploma or equivalent diploma in related discipline combined with related practical experience.
• Be technically competent and have a good understanding of U/G mining methods
• Two years combined underground engineering and surveying experience.
• Basic Common Core modules considered an asset
• Able to learn new skills quickly
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong commitment to working in a safe manner.
• Motivated individual able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity withDeswik.
