Our Mining Minerals and Metals team is growing in Canada, and we are looking for a leader in Integrated Mine Closure. As a subject matter expert in mine closure planning, risk reduction and mine reclamation, you will apply your technical skill set to help further grow and develop our cross‑disciplinary team in Canada and collaborate with other Stantec experts globally.
The role will require you to interact with clients, manage interdisciplinary projects and initiatives and oversee individuals that work on life of mine closure engineering, reclamation planning, liability assessments, environmental and social risk reduction measures, and the execution of mine closure projects. Tasks will be project and internal Stantec initiative based and include advising on multi‑disciplinary mine and alternative end‑use planning and providing technical contributions to client deliverables including closure and reclamation designs, reclamation costing and financial liabilities assessments, closure and progressive reclamation management plans and direction of related execution programs.
Other responsibilities will include client relationship development, budget and proposal development, training and mentorship of junior staff, and program management of schedules, budgets, and client deliverables. This role is focused on the mining sector and the successful candidate will be part of an experienced Energy and Resources team in Canada.
