Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Day Shift Manufacturing Millwright to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment. This is a day shift position, ideal for individuals who prefer daytime working hours and are committed to keeping equipment operating efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, inspect, and maintain mechanical systems and production machinery such as conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, motors, compressors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose equipment issues, perform corrective maintenance, and minimize downtime through prompt troubleshooting and repair.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance in accordance with schedules and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Use precision tools to align and calibrate equipment.
  • Operate rigging equipment such as hoists, lifts, and cranes to position machinery during installation or repair.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Complete detailed work orders and maintenance records using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Follow all safety policies, including Lockout / Tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, and safe lifting practices.
  • Participate in ongoing training and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Valid Millwright or Industrial Mechanic license/certification (e.g., Red Seal, 433A, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Millwright in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools, including welding and fabrication skills (asset).
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and maintenance systems.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and equipment reliability.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
