Saputo Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Millwright for a full-time, permanent position in Ontario. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment and support installations in a food processing environment.

This role requires a Millwright licence, experience with process equipment, and the ability to read blueprints. Evening/night shifts and overtime may apply, with a competitive benefits package offered by Saputo.

Qualifications

• Millwright licence required.
• Experience with process equipment in manufacturing.
• Food industry or high-speed packaging experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics helpful.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Welding experience is an asset.
• Strong trouble-shooting and analytical skills.
• Experience with boiler, refrigeration or air handling systems is an asset.
• Electrical experience is an asset.
• PLC training/experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Trouble shoot and repair equipment during breakdowns.
• Perform equipment installations and modifications as required.
• Repair parts in shop.
• Work safely in a food processing environment and follow SOPs.
• Collaborate with other trades to complete projects.
• Support management in maintenance planning and execution.
• Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.

Overview Of The Role

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Millwright, for an existing opportunity within our organization. You'll discover a stimulating atmosphere that fosters your professional growth in a clean and safe environment. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for the routine/preventive maintenance and trouble shooting of manufacturing and packaging equipment

Status: Full-Time, Permanent

Schedule: Friday to Sunday and every 4th Thursday. 6:30pm-6:30am.

Salary: $47.96/hour. Evening, night and weekend premiums available.

Hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays are compensated at one and a half (1.5) times the regular hourly rate.

How you will make contributions that matter:

• Carries out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment


• Trouble shoots and repairs equipment in breakdown situations


• Carries out equipment installations and modifications as required

• Work effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety

• Works with other trades groups to complete project assignments.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

• Millwright licence


• Proven experience with process equipment in a manufacturing setting.


• Food industry or high speed packaging experience


• Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge


• Ability to read and interpret Blueprints


• Welding experience is an asset


• Excellent trouble shooting and analytical skills.


• Boiler, refrigeration and air handling systems experience is an asset


• Electrical experience is an asset


• PLC training and experience is an asset


• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.


• High level of self-motivation and initiative.


• Excellent written and oral communication skills


• Dependable with a good attendance and safety record in current position.


• Available to work afternoon and night shifts, weekends and overtime as required.


• Available to switch shifts at short notice to replace absent workers
