Kamloops, BC • Full-time • $43.35/hour

Dawson Construction is looking for a Millwright who can maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance, reliability and safety across our operations.

In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Construction, working in a full-time position of Millwright, reporting to the Superintendent, Asphalt. This position requires a skilled and experienced millwright; one who is safety-conscious, production orientated and self-motivated to perform repairs, maintenance, building and/or dismantling industrial equipment and machinery. Your base location will be Kamloops, B.C and will require 20% travel throughout our great province.

  • Prioritizes safety of self and others in all aspects of the role
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with management to ensure a smooth flow of communication during repairs or maintenance work
  • Always strive to exceed industry standard by providing quality workmanship
  • Multitask while executing work within deadlines
  • Monitor to ensure equipment deficiencies and operational issues are reported
  • Troubleshoot machinery and equipment and make accurate judgements to repair with minimal downtime
  • Increase the efficiency and manufacturing productivity of our plants
