Qualifications

  • Valid Ontario driver’s license is an asset.
  • Completion of Levert onboarding modules (mandatory).

Levert is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Mill Operator to support a leading client in the mining industry. This is a fly-in fly-out opportunity with full accommodation and travel provided from Thunder Bay.

About the Role – Mill Operator :

Reporting to the Mill Team Leader, the Mill Operator is responsible for safely operating and monitoring assigned milling circuits while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

  • Operate and monitor areas of the gold milling process, including:
    • – Crushing
    • – Grinding
    • – Leaching
    • – Carbon-in-Pulp (CIP)
    • – Elution and electrowinning
    • – Counter‑current decantation (CCD)
    • – Cyanide destruction
    • – Reagent preparation
    • – Tailings management
  • Conduct routine inspections, sampling, and process adjustments.
  • Record, interpret, and troubleshoot process data and equipment readings.
  • Follow and contribute to safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas at all times.
  • Participate in daily pre‑start meetings, shift handovers, startups, shutdowns, and emergency procedures.
  • Report any safety hazards, risks, or concerns immediately.
  • Follow all regulatory and site‑specific operating procedures.
  • Learn and operate various instruments, machines, and equipment as needed.
  • Perform other related tasks to support safe and efficient mill operations.
What You Need :
  • Minimum Grade 12 education
  • Minimum 4 years of milling experience in mining, operating one or more circuits:
    • – Grinding (Rod / Ball mill), Leaching / CIP / Elution, Reagents, Tailings
    • – Crushing experience (Cone Crusher) will be considered
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license is an asset
  • Willingness to learn and follow procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Completion of Levert onboarding modules (mandatory)
