Overview

Scotts Canada Ltd., in St. Margaret's, NB, is seeking individuals for employment within the Mill. The Mill Maintenance Technician troubleshoots and repairs a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment to ensure safety and productivity.

Responsibilities

Using provided tools, equipment, skills and experience, troubleshoot and repair equipment to maintain safety and productivity.

Qualifications

• Work in a safe manner and display a good attitude
• Have reliable transportation
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Be capable of working overtime
• Be capable of working in a noisy, dusty environment and in cold and hot conditions
• Be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Be able to speak, read and write in English and communicate well
• Be a licensed Industrial Electrician or Millwright OR be a recognized apprentice in either trade OR be able to demonstrate proficiency and experience in these trades
• Meet minimum performance standards
• Not have restrictions preventing proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
• Provide a CPIC (Criminal Record) Check. Note: This is NOT a requirement for current Scotts Associates

Applicants may have to provide a driver’s abstract (driving record).

Shift is 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday to Thursday and 4:30 PM to Midnight on Friday.

Bilingualism is an asset, but not a requirement.

This is a UNIONIZED, full-time, year-round position. Wages determined by Collective Agreement.
