Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro, à St. Margaret's (NB), recherche un technicien de maintenance industriel pour dépanner et réparer des équipements mécaniques, électriques, pneumatiques et hydrauliques afin de garantir sécurité et productivité.

Le poste est à temps plein, unionisé, et le travail s’effectue sur le quart de 16h30 à 2h30, du lundi au jeudi, et 16h30 à minuit le vendredi. Exigences: formation ou expérience en électricité industrielle, capacité de soulever jusqu’à 50 lb et aptitude à travailler

Qualifications

• Être capable de travailler en toute sécurité et avec une bonne attitude.
• Disposer d’un moyen de transport fiable.
• Travailler de façon autonome et en équipe.
• Capacité à effectuer des heures supplémentaires.
• Capacité à travailler dans un environnement bruyant, poussiéreux, et en conditions froides et chaudes.
• Pouvoir soulever jusqu’à 50 livres.
• Parler, lire et écrire ENGLISH et communiquer efficacement.
• Être licencié en électricité industrielle ou en mécanicien industriel OU être apprenti reconnu dans ces métiers OU démontrer compétence et expérience.
• Répondre aux normes de performance minimales.
• Ne pas avoir de restrictions empêchant le port des EPI.
• Fournir un CPIC.

Job Description

Using provided tools, equipment, skills and experience, the Mill Maintenance Technician troubleshoots and repairs a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment to ensure safety and productivity.

Applicants MUST

• Work in a safe manner and display a good attitude
• Have reliable transportation
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Be capable of working overtime
• Be capable of working in a noisy, dusty environment and in cold and hot conditions
• Be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Be able to speak, read and write in ENGLISH and be able to communicate well
• Be a licensed Industrial Electrician or Millwright OR be a recognized apprentice in either trade OR be able to demonstrate proficiency and experience in these trades
• Meet minimum performance standards
• Not have restrictions limiting one’s ability to properly wear Personal Protective Equipment
• Provide a CPIC (Criminal Record) Check.

Note: This is NOT a requirement for current Scotts Associates.

Applicants MAY have to provide a driver’s abstract (driving record).

Shift is expected to be 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday to Thursday and 4:30 PM to Midnight on Friday.

Bilingualism is an asset, but not a requirement.

This is a UNIONIZED position and expected to be full-time, year-round.

Wages determined by Collective Agreement.
