Job summary

Canadian Armed Forces in Canada is seeking Refrigeration and Mechanical Technicians to support heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, aircraft-arresting systems and radar systems for CAF operations at home and abroad.

The role is part of construction engineering services for CAF deployments, with training at national facilities and potential reserve opportunities across Canada.

Qualifications

• No previous work experience required.
• Minimum education: Grade 10 or Secondary 4 as per provincial requirements in Quebec including Math 416 / CST 4.
• Foreign education may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, maintain and repair fixed and mobile refrigeration systems and control equipment.
• Install, operate, maintain and repair HVAC systems and control equipment.
• Install, operate, maintain Aircraft Arresting Systems.
• Install, operate, maintain and overhaul mechanical systems associated with Aircraft Radar Systems.
• Produce associated designs and specifications.
• Produce associated mechanical drawings.
• Conduct reconnaissance related to the above.
