Grade 8&9 French Teacher

White Rock Christian Academy (WRCA) is seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time French teacher (approximately 70% FTE) to join our Senior School team from January to June 2026. This position includes teaching French 8 and French 9 within our Middle Years Programme (MYP).

As an IB World School, WRCA embraces the International Baccalaureate’s emphasis on inquiry-based, concept-driven learning. We are looking for a teacher who engages students in meaningful language learning, encourages curiosity about the Francophone world, and helps students build confidence in communication. Past experience as an IB educator is an asset, but it is not required.

Our Senior School operates on a three-day rotating schedule (Day 1, Day 2, Day 3).
Because of this rotation, the teaching blocks fall at different times on different days, and the weekly pattern repeats every three weeks.

This part-time teaching assignment typically includes:

  • Two class blocks on Day 1 (mid-morning through early afternoon)

  • Two class blocks on Day 2 (one mid-morning block and one later-afternoon block)

  • A full teaching day on Day 3 (four class blocks)

This structure provides a predictable repeating cycle, while also offering variety in teaching times throughout the week. A sample schedule can be provided upon request.

Our School

We are committed to inspiring and cultivating citizens of Godly character, so they are able to transform their world for Christ. Our desire is for a teacher who is collaborative, reflective, and excited to bring their God-given gifts to our school community.

If you would like to be a part of our dynamic staff team glorifying God through Christian education, please email a cover letter, resume, statement of faith, and application (Application for Teaching Position ) attention Senior School Principal Danielle Zonneveld at zonneveldd@wrca.ca .
