Job summary

Image Engine, a Vancouver-based VFX studio, is seeking a Mid Compositor to deliver high-quality shots with guidance from leads. The role emphasizes photorealistic comps, timely delivery, and collaboration across departments on feature films and streaming projects.

The position is a project contract covering December 2026 through March 2027, with a 40-hour work week and a benefits package starting day one, including extended healthcare and wellness days.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in compositing digital VFX for film & high-end streaming projects.
• Demonstrated experience using Nuke in a high-end production environment.
• Attention to detail when finalizing & quality-controlling shots.
• Ability to balance quick turnaround while achieving a high degree of aesthetic quality.

Responsibilities

• Take direction from Leads and Supervisors to hit a pre-defined look for shots in a sequence.
• Demonstrate a keen eye for detail and address technical issues at delivery stages.
• Balance workload and communicate time requirements to team.
• Proactively communicate with upstream departments to ensure required elements are available.
• Apply client notes to all comp shots with guidance.
• Attend dailies, reviews, and team meetings.
