Job summary

BDO Digital is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Project Management & Accounting Consultant to join our growing Dynamics F&O Practice, with the ability to work from anywhere in Canada. This role acts as a trusted advisor on ERP implementations, leads PMA on larger projects, and designs end-to-end project accounting solutions.

Minimum 3+ years of Dynamics 365 F&O consulting, full-cycle implementation experience, and strong collaboration with Finance, Supply Chain, Asset Management, and Sales

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations/AX consulting experience with strong PMA focus.
• Full-cycle Dynamics 365 F&O implementation experience (requirements, design, config, testing, go-live).
• Strong understanding of project-based accounting, budgeting, revenue recognition, and billing.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and project teams for ERP implementations.
• Lead PMA consultant role on larger projects with mentorship to other consultants.
• Design and implement end-to-end project accounting solutions (costing, budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition).
• Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Asset Management, and Sales to ensure integrated solutions.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to client staff on PMA.

Your Opportunity BDO Digital is currently looking for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Project Management & Accounting Consultant to join our growing Dynamics F&O Practice, with the ability to work from anywhere in Canada. This is a new role and the individual will own the following responsibilities:

• Act as a trusted advisor to external customers and BDO project teams in support of client ERP implementations, with a focus on Dynamics 365 F&O Project Management and Accounting (PMA)
• Perform a lead PMA consultant role on larger projects where multiple functional consultants are engaged, providing mentorship and guidance to other consultants
• Analyze customer project-based business models, financial requirements, and operational objectives, and provide in-depth application expertise in Project Management and Accounting
• Design and implement end-to-end project accounting solutions, including project costing, revenue recognition, billing methods, budgeting, forecasting, and project lifecycle management
• Streamline customer project governance, financial control, and reporting processes to achieve greater ROI within the Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, Enterprise Edition suite
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Asset Management, and Sales consultants to ensure integrated project-based solutions
• Support and lead system configuration, testing, data migration, and deployment activities related to Project Management and Accounting
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to client staff to support day-to-day project management, accounting, and reporting activities

Your experience and education

• Minimum 3+ years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations / AX consulting experience, with strong expertise in Project Management and Accounting
• Full-cycle Dynamics 365 F&O implementation experience, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and go-live support
• Strong understanding of project-based accounting and financial management processes, including: Project costing and budgeting Revenue recognition and billing (fixed price, time and material, milestone-based) Project forecasting and cost control Project lifecycle and governance
• Experience integrating Project Management and Accounting with Finance, Supply Chain Management, and Asset Management
• Knowledge of one or more additional functional areas such as Finance, Supply Chain Management, Asset Management, or Manufacturing is preferred
• Dynamics 365 F&O / AX certifications in Project Management and Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines will be considered in the selection process
• Self-motivated, articulate, and able to lead discussions and inspire client audiences
• Strong process analysis, redesign, and documentation experience
