Job summary

A leading health organization in Toronto is seeking a Project Manager for its microbiology laboratory. The role involves overseeing project management from initiation to completion, collaborating with various teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and enhancing laboratory operations. Candidates should have extensive experience in medical microbiology and project management, alongside excellent organizational and leadership skills. A university degree in a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Currently registered with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario.
  • 5 years of experience in a Medical Microbiology Laboratory.
  • 5 years in progressively responsible microbiology positions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage microbiology projects from initiation to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans including resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective team communication and resolve conflicts.
  • Oversee procurement of laboratory supplies and services.
  • Train and mentor laboratory staff in project management.
