A health authority in Vancouver Island seeks a Generalist Sonographer to perform ultrasound examinations. Essential qualifications include graduation from an approved diploma program, certification with Sonography Canada or ARDMS, and one year of recent experience. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, organize workloads, and communicate effectively. This role emphasizes patient and staff safety as a priority.

Reporting to the supervisor, and under the general supervision of a radiologist, the MI Generalist Sonographer performs general ultrasound examinations. Duties include receiving and completing requisitions, forms and reports; preparing and monitoring supplies and equipment; patient monitoring; and operating ultrasound equipment, including preparing and presenting patient data to radiologist.
Graduation from an approved Ultrasound Technologist Diploma program.
Sonography Canada and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification credentials as a Generalist Sonographer and one (1) year recent, related experience in a health care setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Eligible for registration with Sonography Canada.
