Job summary
A regional health authority is seeking an Occupational Therapist to deliver therapeutic services and case management in community settings. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Occupational Therapy, relevant license, and experience in mental health. Responsibilities include assessing and coordinating care for clients and providing consultation in acute settings. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills and involves travel.
Qualifications
- Current licensure in a practicing category with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
- Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
- Two years' recent related experience including working in mental health.
Responsibilities
- Assessing and delivering clinical occupational therapy services for assigned clients.
- Providing consultative services in acute care or tertiary settings.
- Working in accordance with care plans from the multidisciplinary clinical team.
Skills
Clinical understanding of affective disorders
Ability to integrate COTBC Standards
Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
Communication skills, verbal and written
Organizational skills
Education
Graduation from a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy
