Job summary

Nutrien is seeking a Manager, Indigenous Supply Chain to lead the Indigenous Supply Chain function within the Indigenous Relations strategy. The role collaborates with Procurement, Operations, Projects and external partners to grow Indigenous participation in Nutrien’s supply chain.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in Indigenous relations or related fields, with strong stakeholder engagement, governance, and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Indigenous Studies, Economics, Public Administration, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in Indigenous relations, Indigenous economic development, procurement, supply chain, business development, operations, project delivery or a related field.
  • Experience working with Indigenous Nations, Indigenous-owned businesses and economic development organizations.
  • Knowledge of Indigenous economic participation, supplier development and economic reconciliation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation and continuous improvement of Nutrien’s Indigenous Supply Chain strategy.
  • Translate Indigenous Relations priorities into practical supply chain initiatives, tools and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with Procurement, Operations, Maintenance, Capital Projects and business teams to identify Indigenous participation opportunities.
  • Support sourcing strategies, Indigenous Content integration, supplier engagement and project planning activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous-owned businesses, partnerships and economic development corporations.
  • Support supplier discovery, readiness and development, including connections between Nutrien teams and qualified Indigenous suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate reporting, supplier intelligence, dashboards and recommendations that support business decision-making.
  • Identify and escape operational, reputational, relationship and compliance risks, while supporting clear governance and accountability.

The Manager, Indigenous Supply Chain leads Nutrien’s Indigenous Supply Chain function as part of the Indigenous Relations strategy. What You'll Bring:

  • Experience in mining, potash, agriculture, industrial operations, construction, maintenance or major project environments is an asset
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, contracting, sourcing strategies, supplier qualification programs, reporting systems or performance measurement tools is an asset
