Your opportunity The Department of Statistical Sciences is one of the top ten statistics departments in North America, with our faculty developing numerous important innovations in statistical science. Our mission is to serve as a centre of excellence for statistical and actuarial research and education, across the campus, nationally and internationally. Research is centered on excellence in theory and methods, as many faculty members in the department have very successful collaborative research programs. The Department of Statistical Sciences welcomes applications for the position of MFI Communication Officer. Reporting to the Manager, Graduate Programs, the MFI Communication Officer is responsible for advising on communication strategies to support goals and priorities of the MFI program and for implementing MFI's marketing and advertising plans. The incumbent will build and strengthen relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance, promote programs and service offerings to internal and/or external contacts, and deliver presentations outlining proposals to attract sponsorship opportunities. In support of MFI communications initiatives, the MFI Communication Officer is also responsible for conceptualizing, organizing and executing event activities.
