Job summary

Gestal is seeking a Methods Configuration Agent for the A220 Flight Test Methods Configuration team in Mirabel, QC. You will translate engineering requirements into optimal assembly sequences and prepare visual work instructions for installing mechanical and structural components on test benches or aircraft.

You will use SAP, CATIA V5 and 3DVia to define work instructions, participate in root cause analyses, and support daily Flight Test manufacturing activities.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in Mechanical and Structure Configuration Management.
• Knowledge of configuration change processes for assembly books.
• Ability to translate engineering requirements into installation steps.

Responsibilities

• Define and write work instructions and sequences for installation of mechanical and structural components on test benches or aircraft.
• Participate in root cause investigations and evaluate costs, impacts and risks of changes.
• Participate in planning meetings for production changes or new configurations on test benches or aircraft.
• Support daily manufacturing activities of Flight Tests.
• Define tooling requirements and ensure health and safety considerations in production methods.
• Review and sign engineering documents (Drawings, NIEOs, AMOs).

Job description

You have 5 to 10 years of experience in Mechanical and Structure Configuration Management? Have you worked as a Methods Agent and wish to evolve and develop new skills? This position is for you!

We are looking for a Methods Configuration Agent in Systems Installation - Mechanical and Structure to join our A220 Flight Test Methods Configuration team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work jointly with the Engineering team to introduce configuration changes into assembly books.

You will be part of the A220 Flight Test Means Methods Configuration team responsible for translating engineering requirements into optimal assembly sequences used for assembling the A220 aircraft.

Your role as a Methods Agent will be to prepare visual work instructions for the installation of mechanical and structural components on the aircraft using various software such as SAP, CATIA V5, and 3DVia.

Your challenges:

• Define and write work instructions and sequences, according to engineering requirements and company specifications, for the installation of mechanical and structural components on test benches or test aircraft using various software such as SAP, CATIA V5
• Participate in root cause investigation of problems and analyze potential solutions by evaluating costs, impacts, and risks of a change on the aircraft
• Participate in meetings for the planning and implementation of production changes or the introduction of new configurations on test benches or test aircraft
• Support daily manufacturing activities of Flight Tests
• Participate in the definition of tooling requirements, assembly, and implementation of various production equipment according to optimal methodology taking health/safety components into account
• Review and sign different engineering documents (Drawings, NIEO's, AMO's).
