Job summary

VM Talent Partners is seeking a Methods Agent in Montreal, QC for a 6-month temporary contract. You will bridge Production and Engineering, developing and maintaining SOPs and work methods, while translating engineering requirements for operators.

The role focuses on documenting processes, standardizing methods, and enabling smooth production. You will support on-floor operators, troubleshoot method issues, and collaborate with Engineering on changes.

Qualifications

• DEC (college diploma) in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, or equivalent training.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Experience in methods engineering, production support, or process documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes in an electromechanical environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
• French-English bilingualism strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering requirements into clear instructions tailored to production operators.
• Maintain and organize manufacturing documentation on digital platforms.
• Ensure the accuracy and standardization of work methods.
• Act as a resource for operators and supervisors on the production floor.
• Troubleshoot issues related to methods and processes.
• Gather feedback from production and collaborate with Engineering when changes are required.
• Participate in the implementation of engineering changes and process modifications.
• Communicate changes to teams and contribute to their training.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Poka-Yoke, and visual management.
• Conduct time and motion studies.
• Contribute to improving workstations and manufacturing methods.
• Support production systems and digital tools related to operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Documentation and Methods

Working Conditions

• 6-month temporary contract.
• Full-time: 37.5 hours per week.
• Monday to Friday schedule.
• Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely.
