Job summary

Coke Canada Bottling is hiring a part-time Merchandiser for Williams Lake. Work roughly 24–32 hours weekly on Sat, Sun, Mon, and Thur with an hourly rate of $20.24. Candidates must be at least 17, hold a valid class 5 license, have a personal vehicle, and insurance; prior grocery/retail or warehousing exposure helps.

Qualifications

• Must be 17 years of age.
• A valid class 5 driver’s license.
• Must have a personal vehicle for use during working hours.
• Must have current vehicle liability insurance.
• Able to provide a clean driving record with no major violations over the last three years.
• Minimum one year experience in grocery/retail/warehousing or related field preferred.
• Minimum one year experience working under little to no supervision preferred.
• Experience with pallet jacks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and replenish products in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by transporting product between backroom/storage to front-of-store with manual equipment (pallet jack, hand-truck).
• Build, change or remove product displays while adhering to company standards; maintain product signage; clean product space and secure damaged or defective product.
• Follow all Coke Canada Bottling and Store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety.
• Manage backroom by organizing stock; identify, monitor, and report inventory levels; evaluate and process damaged product; re-pack product; organize backroom materials; complete paperwork.
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety and sanitation requirements.
• Maintain professional relationships with co-workers and customers.
• Physical requirements: lift up to 50lbs, kneel/squat, push/pull equipment for 100 yards, grasp/manipulate objects, stand/walk long periods.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Coke Canada Bottling and Store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety.
• Manage backroom by organizing stock (product); identifying, monitoring, and reporting inventory levels; evaluating and processing damaged product; re‑packing product; organizing backroom materials (i.e., pallets, product shells etc.); completing any required paperwork.
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety and sanitation requirements.
• Maintain professional relationships with co‑workers and customers.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Repetitively lift, carry and position product (weight up to 50lbs or 22kgs) above shoulder height without assistance
  • Consistent kneeling, squatting and reaching above the head
  • Ability to push and pull manual and powered equipment (i.e. pallet jack, hand‑truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
  • Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
