Shoppers Drug Mart in Barrie, Ontario is seeking a team member to support merchandising, receiving and customer service in a locally owned store. You will help keep backrooms organized, assist customers, and ensure product displays are appealing and accessible.

This role emphasizes accuracy in cash handling where applicable, adherence to health and safety guidelines, and flexibility to work evenings or weekends. Associate-Owner model provides local ownership with corporate support.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic computer and cash register systems.

Responsibilities

• Organize backroom product and manage BIMI processes.
• Use PDT and MMS systems to perform daily tasks.
• Handle exit strategy and product returns as directed.
• Maintain store image and ensure displays are shopper friendly.
• Receive merchandise and keep backroom neat and documented.
• Assist Front Store Manager to uphold quality and standards.
• Provide customer assistance and maintain a clean, uniformed appearance.
• Comply with health, safety, and loss prevention policies.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

MERCHANDISING:

• Organize backroom product and follow Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) processes

• Uses PDT and MMS Systems to perform daily tasks

• As directed, manage Exit Strategy and Product Return

• Expert in assigned areas of product inventory, product placement and expiry dates

• Maintains Store Standard pertaining to image and trends in store

• Ensures product displays are consumer focused and “shoppable”

RECEIVING:

• Receives merchandise in accordance with the receiving policies and procedures

• Maintains a neat and organized backroom according to principles of backroom organization

• Ensures proper documentation is completed with respect to the receiving and return of goods

• Supports Front Store Manager/Assistant Front Store Manager in maintaining the quality and standards

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

• Clean image to the customers in accordance with uniform policy and dress code

• Takes initiative to acknowledge and assist customers in the aisles

GENERAL:

• Complies with all health and safety regulations

• Complies with all Store Standards

• Complies with loss prevention policies and procedures

• Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Planning, Judgement and Decision Making

• Copes with changing situations on the sales floor

• Cash responsibilities (if applicable) require accuracy and efficiency in processing the customer order

EXPERIENCE:

• Some computer and cash register skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to work flexible shifts which may include nights and weekends

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
