Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada is seeking team members to support merchandising, receiving, and exceptional customer service. The role focuses on keeping the backroom organized, ensuring accurate inventory, and maintaining attractive, shopper-friendly displays.

Applicants should be capable of handling cash when needed, flexible to shifts including nights and weekends, and able to lift up to 50 pounds in a busy retail environment. Join our locally owned store and help serve the community.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Organize backroom product and follow Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) processes.
• Use PDT and MMS Systems to perform daily tasks.
• Assist with Exit Strategy and Product Return as directed.
• Be expert in product inventory, placement and expiry dates.
• Maintain Store Standards for image and trends; ensure displays are consumer‑focused and shoppable.

Job description

Join a locally owned and operated store to help deliver health, beauty and convenience services in your community, and keep the customer at the centre of everything you do.

Why this role is important?

Merchandising

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize backroom product and follow Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) processes
• Uses PDT and MMS Systems to perform daily tasks
• As directed, manage Exit Strategy and Product Return
• Expert in assigned areas of product inventory, product placement and expiry dates
• Maintains Store Standard pertaining to image and trends in store
• Ensures product displays are consumer focused and “shoppable”

Receiving

• Receives merchandise in accordance with the receiving policies and procedures
• Maintains a neat and organized backroom according to principles of backroom organization
• Ensures proper documentation is completed with respect to the receiving and return of goods
• Supports Front Store Manager/Assistant Front Store Manager in maintaining the quality and standards

Customer Service

• Clean image to the customers in accordance with uniform policy and dress code
• Takes initiative to acknowledge and assist customers in the aisles

General

• Complies with all health and safety regulations
• Complies with all Store Standards
• Complies with loss prevention policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as required
