Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a motivated team member to support merchandising, receiving and customer service in a locally owned store. You will keep backrooms organized, assist with inventory, ensure displays are shopper-friendly and handle basic cash or POS tasks as needed.

Flexibility with shifts, ability to lift up to 50 pounds and a commitment to friendly, service‑oriented customer care are essential. Accommodation is available upon request where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Organize backroom product and BIMI processes.
• Use PDT and MMS systems to perform daily tasks.
• Manage exit strategy and product returns as directed.
• Maintain inventory, placement and expiry dates.
• Keep store image and displays consumer-focused and 'shoppable'.
• Receive merchandise per policies and keep backroom neat.
• Complete receiving/return documentation; support store management.
• Provide customer service with a clean image and proactive help.
• Follow health and safety regulations and store standards.
• Flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and ladder climbing as needed.

Job description

Join a locally owned and operated store to help deliver health, beauty and convenience services in your community, and keep the customer at the centre of everything you do.

Why this role is important?

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

MERCHANDISING:

• Organize backroom product and follow Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) processes

• Uses PDT and MMS Systems to perform daily tasks

• As directed, manage Exit Strategy and Product Return

• Expert in assigned areas of product inventory, product placement and expiry dates

• Maintains Store Standard pertaining to image and trends in store

• Ensures product displays are consumer focused and “shoppable”

RECEIVING:

• Receives merchandise in accordance with the receiving policies and procedures

• Maintains a neat and organized backroom according to principles of backroom organization

• Ensures proper documentation is completed with respect to the receiving and return of goods

• Supports Front Store Manager/Assistant Front Store Manager in maintaining the quality and standards

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

• Clean image to the customers in accordance with uniform policy and dress code

• Takes initiative to acknowledge and assist customers in the aisles

GENERAL:

• Complies with all health and safety regulations

• Complies with all Store Standards

• Complies with loss prevention policies and procedures

• Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
