Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a detail-oriented retail associate to support merchandising, receiving, and customer service. The role emphasizes maintaining backroom organization, accurate inventory, and compliant store presentation. You will assist in ensuring displays are shopper-friendly and processes for receiving and returns are followed.

Flexible shifts and a fast-paced environment are typical. Candidates should be well organized, capable of independent work, and able to handle cash

Responsibilities

• Organize backroom product and follow BIMI processes.
• Use PDT and MMS systems to perform daily tasks.
• Manage Exit Strategy and Product Return as directed.
• Be expert in inventory, placement and expiry dates.
• Maintain store image and trends; ensure displays are consumer-focused and 'shoppable'.
• Receive merchandise per policies; keep backroom neat and organized; document receiving/returns; support Front Store Manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

MERCHANDISING:

• Organize backroom product and follow Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) processes

• Uses PDT and MMS Systems to perform daily tasks

• As directed, manage Exit Strategy and Product Return

• Expert in assigned areas of product inventory, product placement and expiry dates

• Maintains Store Standard pertaining to image and trends in store

• Ensures product displays are consumer focused and “shoppable”

RECEIVING:

• Receives merchandise in accordance with the receiving policies and procedures

• Maintains a neat and organized backroom according to principles of backroom organization

• Ensures proper documentation is completed with respect to the receiving and return of goods

• Supports Front Store Manager/Assistant Front Store Manager in maintaining the quality and standards

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

• Clean image to the customers in accordance with uniform policy and dress code

• Takes initiative to acknowledge and assist customers in the aisles

GENERAL:

• Complies with all health and safety regulations

• Complies with all Store Standards

• Complies with loss prevention policies and procedures

• Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Some computer and cash register skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
