Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart in Antigonish, NS is seeking a retail associate to help deliver health, beauty and convenience services to the community. You will merchandise, receive shipments, assist customers, ring up sales and maintain store standards while complying with safety policies.

Flexible shifts including nights/weekends may be required. Experience with basic computer or cash register skills is appreciated; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan, judge and decide on sales floor tasks.
• Maintain neat, organized backroom and product placement.
• Process cash transactions with accuracy where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Organize backroom product and BIMI processes.
• Use PDT and MMS systems for daily tasks.
• Manage exit strategy and product returns as directed.
• Be expert in product inventory, placement and expiry dates.
• Maintain store image and shopper-focused displays.
• Receive merchandise according to policies and documentations.
• Support store management in maintaining standards and safety.
• Provide customer assistance and acknowledge shoppers on the floor.
• Follow health, safety, and loss prevention requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

MERCHANDISING

• Organize backroom product and follow Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) processes
• Uses PDT and MMS Systems to perform daily tasks
• As directed, manage Exit Strategy and Product Return
• Expert in assigned areas of product inventory, product placement and expiry dates
• Maintains Store Standard pertaining to image and trends in store
• Ensures product displays are consumer focused and “shoppable”

RECEIVING

• Receives merchandise in accordance with the receiving policies and procedures
• Maintains a neat and organized backroom according to principles of backroom organization
• Ensures proper documentation is completed with respect to the receiving and return of goods
• Supports Front Store Manager/Assistant Front Store Manager in maintaining the quality and standards

CUSTOMER SERVICE

• Clean image to the customers in accordance with uniform policy and dress code
• Takes initiative to acknowledge and assist customers in the aisles

GENERAL

• Complies with all health and safety regulations
• Complies with all Store Standards
• Complies with loss prevention policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS
