Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a store associate to support health, beauty and convenience services in Brandon.

You will organize stock, assist with receiving, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a clean and compliant environment. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work flexible shifts including nights and weekends, and operate with integrity aligned to the company’s standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan and prioritize tasks on a busy sales floor.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Accuracy and efficiency in processing customer orders and payments.

Responsibilities

• Merchandising: organize backroom product, BIMI processes, manage displays, ensure timely product placement and expiry tracking.
• Receiving: handle merchandise intake, backroom organization, documentation for goods
• Customer service: greet and assist customers, maintain a clean, uniformed appearance
• General: follow health and safety rules, uphold store standards, contribute to loss prevention, perform other duties as needed

Why this role is important?

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

MERCHANDISING:

• Organize backroom product and follow Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) processes
• Uses PDT and MMS Systems to perform daily tasks
• As directed, manage Exit Strategy and Product Return
• Expert in assigned areas of product inventory, product placement and expiry dates
• Maintains Store Standard pertaining to image and trends in store
• Ensures product displays are consumer focused and “shoppable”

RECEIVING:

• Receives merchandise in accordance with the receiving policies and procedures
• Maintains a neat and organized backroom according to principles of backroom organization
• Ensures proper documentation is completed with respect to the receiving and return of goods
• Supports Front Store Manager/Assistant Front Store Manager in maintaining the quality and standards

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

• Clean image to the customers in accordance with uniform policy and dress code
• Takes initiative to acknowledge and assist customers in the aisles

GENERAL:

• Complies with all health and safety regulations
• Complies with all Store Standards
• Complies with loss prevention policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Cash responsibilities (if applicable) require accuracy and efficiency in processing the customer order

EXPERIENCE:

• Some computer and cash register skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to work flexible shifts which may include nights and weekends

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
