Job summary

Coke Canada Bottling is hiring Merchandisers for the Ottawa area. This role focuses on stocking shelves, replenishing displays, and maintaining product visibility in local grocery stores.

You will build and adjust displays, adhere to company standards, and ensure accurate backroom inventory. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in grocery/retail or warehousing, a valid class 5 license, a personal vehicle, and a willingness to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Must be 17 years of age or older.
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license required.
  • Must have a personal vehicle for use during working hours.
  • Current vehicle liability insurance required.
  • Clean driving record over last 3 years preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in grocery/retail/warehousing preferred.
  • Experience with pallet jacks or manual equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and replenish products in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers.
  • Build, change or remove product displays while adhering to company standards.
  • Follow Coke Canada Bottling policies for backroom, display floor, replenishment and safety.
  • Manage backroom by organizing stock and monitoring inventory levels.
  • Maintain an orderly, clean work area in compliance with safety requirements.
  • Maintain professional relationships with coworkers and customers.

This position covers Hawkesbury to Alexandria.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and replenish products in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by transporting product between backroom/storage room to front-of-store with manual equipment (pallet jack, hand-truck).
  • Build, change or remove product displays while adhering to company standards; maintaining product signage; cleaning product space and securing damaged or defective product.
  • Follow all Coke Canada Bottling and Store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety.
  • Manage backroom by organizing stock (product); identifying, monitoring, and reporting inventory levels; evaluating and processing damaged product; re-packing product; organizing backroom materials (i.e., pallets, product shells etc.); completing any required paperwork.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area in compliance with Company safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Maintain professional relationships with co-workers and customers.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Repetitively lift, carry and position product (weight up to 50lbs or 22kgs) above shoulder height without assistance
    • Consistent kneeling, squatting and reaching above the head
    • Ability to push and pull manual and powered equipment (i.e. pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
    • Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
    • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Qualifications
  • Must be 17 years of age.
  • A valid class 5 driver’s license.
  • Must have a personal vehicle for use during working hours.
  • Must have current vehicle liability insurance.
  • Able to provide a clean driving record with no major violations over the last three (3) years.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working in grocery, retail, warehousing or related field preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working under little to no supervision preferred.
  • Experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred.
