Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart is seeking a detail-oriented team member to support merchandising, receiving, and customer service in a busy store environment. You will manage backroom organization, assist with product placement, and ensure displays are attractive and shopper-friendly.

The role requires basic computer and cash register skills, flexibility for shifts, and a focus on accuracy and customer service. Training through Academy and opportunities for advancement are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail merchandising and backroom management.
• Attention to detail and ability to organize inventory.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Cash handling and POS accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Organize backroom product and follow BIMI processes.
• Use PDT and MMS systems to perform daily tasks.
• Manage Exit Strategy and Product Return as directed.
• Maintain store image and ensure displays are consumer-focused and shoppable.
• Support Front Store Manager/Assistant Front Store Manager in maintaining quality and standards.
• Comply with health, safety, and loss prevention policies.
• Perform other duties as required.

Merchandising

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize backroom product and follow Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) processes
• Uses PDT and MMS Systems to perform daily tasks
• As directed, manage Exit Strategy and Product Return
• Expert in assigned areas of product inventory, product placement and expiry dates
• Maintains Store Standard pertaining to image and trends in store
• Ensures product displays are consumer focused and “shoppable”

Receiving

• Receives merchandise in accordance with the receiving policies and procedures
• Maintains a neat and organized backroom according to principles of backroom organization
• Ensures proper documentation is completed with respect to the receiving and return of goods
• Supports Front Store Manager/Assistant Front Store Manager in maintaining the quality and standards

Customer Service

• Clean image to the customers in accordance with uniform policy and dress code
• Takes initiative to acknowledge and assist customers in the aisles

General

• Complies with all health and safety regulations
• Complies with all Store Standards
• Complies with loss prevention policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as required
