A health service organization in Drayton Valley seeks a Mental Health Therapist to support children and adolescents facing emotional and mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will have a relevant master's degree and at least 2 years of clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. This is a regular part-time position with competitive salary based on experience.
Your Opportunity: Reporting directly to the Manager or designate, this Children\'s Mental Health Therapist will work collaboratively with Addiction and Mental Health staff, psychiatry, public health and school personnel to provide support to child and adolescent clients to address emotional, behavioural and mental health concerns. The service is delivered in multiple settings. This role values collaboration and evidence-informed practices, with a high degree of independence and the ability to navigate complexities across systems. The successful candidate will have a proven positive track record of working with complex issues relating to the mental health of children, youth and/or families. Description: As the Mental Health Therapist, you will use a variety of treatment modalities (individual, family, and group) for persons experiencing significant mental health difficulties. Working both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will provide evidence-informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management and treatment.
