Northern Health in Burns Lake area is seeking a registered Clinician to join the Primary Care team. This role focuses on mental health and addiction support within physician practices, homes, schools and communities, delivering care aligned with person-centered goals and interprofessional collaboration.

Under supervision and within NH's mission, you will assess, plan, and implement care, teach individuals and groups, and contribute to improved health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Allied Health, Behavioral or Social Science field and 2 years of relevant health setting experience.
• Current valid BC driver's license.

Position Summary

Are you a registered Clinician looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Primary Care department.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, and with Northern Health's vision of an idealized system of services where people and their families receive primary care services in Primary Care Homes supported by interprofessional teams, this position functions as a member of the interprofessional team and applies best practices to provide competent, safe and ethical care for people and their families in settings such as physician practices, homes, schools and communities. Through assessment and involvement of each person and their family, the Primary Care MHSU Clinician develops and implements a plan of care and intervention to assist the person in managing their mental health or addiction challenges. The Primary Care MHSU Clinician will provide care according to the person's care plan and the person's personal goals.

Primary Care Networks are partnerships between the Divisions of Family Practice representing BC's family physicians, the regional health authorities, the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) and local community partners, along with other community providers such as nurse practitioners. All partners are working together in their local communities and collectively to redesign B.C.'s primary and community care system so that it works better for patients and health-care providers.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work:

Tues, Weds, Thurs, Days - 08:00 to 16:00

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (from an accredited educational institution) in an Allied Health, Behavioral or Social Science field relevant to the position plus two (2) years recent, experience in a health setting working with complex care clients with a combination of mental health and/or addiction issues. Or equivalent related knowledge, skills, and experience.
• Current valid BC driver's license.
