A community organization in Alberta is seeking a Mental Health-Cultural Facilitator to guide holistic wellness through traditional practices and cultural programming. The ideal candidate will support the community by fostering mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being and has experience with Indigenous communities and protocols. This role requires flexible working hours and offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in mental health and cultural revitalization.
The Mental Health-Cultural Facilitator plays an integral role in fostering holistic wellness by guiding and supporting mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being through culturally grounded practices. This position helps reconnect community members with traditional knowledge, language, teachings, and ceremony, strengthening cultural identity and supporting healing and growth. By facilitating a safe and supportive environment, they empower the client to explore and address their mental health or substance use concerns, develop coping strategies, and build healthier relationships. This role includes mentorship, cultural programming, consultation with clinical and program staff, and facilitating traditional teachings across generations. The Mental Health-Cultural Facilitator will support both clients and staff through ceremonies, land-based practices, and community cultural events.
Hours of 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, Will be required to work some evenings and weekends when required. While adhering to the Enoch Cree Nation Human Resources Policy & Procedure Manual.
