A major health organization in Winnipeg is looking for an experienced Mental Health Clinician for Intake and Assessment. Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview
Experience
  • 4-5 years’ experience working with individuals in mental health and addictions required.
  • Experience in the intake process will be considered an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Master’s degree in a relevant health discipline from an accredited education institution required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Active member in good standing of an applicable associated regulatory body.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrated skill in assessment and triage, as well as the ability to provide service consultation to a variety of referral sources.
  • Current and comprehensive knowledge of regional health authorities’ (inclusive of Shared Health’s) Mental Health and Addictions program services, as well as community services and resources.
  • Ability to use ambulatory module of Altera Sunrise.
  • An understanding of, and sensitivity to, working with culturally diverse populations is essential.

  • Ability to work flexible hours.
