Overview

Our client is one of the country’s largest providers of mental health and addiction services, with inpatient operations in most provinces and an in-person and virtual outpatient program. They are currently seeking an experienced and ambitious Mental Health and Addiction Physician to join their growing team.

Your new role

In this role you will be responsible and accountable for the leadership and overall success of the location, working alongside the Executive Director and Medical Director.

  • Act as the Medical Responsible Person (MRP) for patients in treatment, follow them through weekly appointments, and cultivate a strong therapeutic alliance.
  • Conduct pre-admission, admission, withdrawal management, and weekly follow-up assessments of patients.
What you will need to succeed
  • At least 3 years of practical and related experience in a similar role.
  • Graduated from an accredited Canadian program and in good standing with the relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Excellent knowledge of standards (e.g., ISO) and regulations.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team.
  • A passion for working with a vulnerable mental health population.
