Your Neighbourhood Credit Union (YNCU) in Woodstock, Ontario, is seeking a Member Relationship Manager to build lasting member relationships and provide sound financial advice across loans, mortgages, deposits, and investments.

You will deliver exceptional service, engage with members in-branch and the community, and collaborate with teams to craft comprehensive financial solutions while ensuring compliance and growth.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or certification in business, finance or related field.
• Minimum four years in financial services, retail branch operations, with at least 1 year in advisory capacity.
• IFC designation through CSI is an asset.
• Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Bondable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service and build member relationships with caring, professional support.
• Proactively engage with members in-branch and the community to uncover banking needs and referrals.
• Advise on loans, mortgages, lines of credit, deposits and investments.
• Educate members and leverage technology to enhance their banking experience.
• Develop new business opportunities through outreach and being an ambassador of YNCU.
• Collaborate with internal partners to provide comprehensive financial solutions and referrals.
• Plan activities to meet short- and long-term objectives and manage service issues.
• Assist in branch operations, including promoting campaigns and scheduling.

The Role

The MemberRelationship Manager is responsible for building new and lasting relationshipswith Your Neighbourhood Credit Union (YNCU) members. As a trusted financial advisor, you will helpmembers with their everyday banking, credit, and investment needs. Through exceptional and caring service, theMRM delivers a member experience focused on sound advice that matters most tomembers through all financial stages of life, and reflects YNCU’s vision.

MemberEngagement & Financial Advisory (90%)

• Deliver Exceptional Service: Build and enhance memberrelationships by providing caring and professional service, respondingpromptly to their needs
• Proactive Member Interaction: Engage with members within thebranch and the community to uncover banking needs, offer assistance, andidentify opportunities for referrals.
• Financial Solutions: Advise on a comprehensive range offinancial products and services, including loans, mortgages, lines ofcredit, deposits, and investment vehicles.
• Member Education: Educate members, leveragingtechnology to enhance their banking experience and ensure businessretention.
• Business Development: Develop new business opportunitiesthrough outreach programs, networking, and acting as an ambassador ofYNCU.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internalpartners to provide comprehensive financial solutions and make qualifiedreferrals.
• Strategic Planning: Plan activities to achieve bothshort-term and long-term objectives, ensuring timelines are met.
• Issue Resolution: Take ownership of resolving memberservice issues, ensuring high satisfaction levels.

BranchOperations & Occasional Supervisory Support (10%)

• Operational Oversight: Assist in implementing businesspromotion campaigns and contribute ideas to help the branch team achieveobjectives.
• Credit Administration: Support the administration ofcredit policies by ensuring loan applications are effectively evaluatedand documented.
• Compliance & Security: Coordinate branch operationswithin applicable policies to ensure compliance and maintain securityprotocols.
• Leadership Support: Provide coverage for the BranchManager during their absence, assisting with scheduling and teamcoordination.
• Team Development: Assist in coaching and trainingteam members to foster a collaborative environment.
• This position is for an existing vacancy within our team.

What we arelooking for

• Post-secondary diploma and/orcertification in business, finance or a related program, or equivalentbusiness experience
• Minimum four (4) years’ experiencein financial services predominantly in retail branch operations with atleast 1 year in an advisory capacity
• Investment Funds in Canada (IFC)designation through the Canadian Securities Institute (CSI) considered anasset
• Keen interest in the economicenvironment and financial trends
• Proven understanding of investmentsand retail lending
• Must be computer literate, have aneffective working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook Excel, Word) and a willingness and ability to learn and utilize YNCU’s banking system,applications, platforms, and emerging technologies
• Must have a valid Ontario driver’slicense and reliable available vehicle
• Must be bondable

Salary range: $65,000 - 75,000

The compensation offered tothe successful applicant for this role will be determined by the candidate’srelevant skills and experience, and internal equity. More information about ourtotal rewards package will be available during the hiring process.
