Job summary

Nutanix seeks a data platform engineer to build the next generation of data platform features for on-prem and cloud environments. You will participate in data modeling discussions and influence the data products roadmap, working across all components of a big data platform including API gateways, message buses, databases, and database abstraction layers.

You will design and implement data engineering jobs via Apache Spark, collaborate with multiple teams, and adopt data cataloging and tracing

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with one or more languages: Python, Scala, Java, Golang, or C++.
• Experience with database technologies and optimizing workloads.
• Experience with Big Data technologies, the Kubernetes ecosystem, and microservice patterns.
• Owner's mindset with ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Solid understanding of SaaS technology development practices, such as Agile.

About the Team

The NCM data platform team provides an end-to-end telemetry platform that includes data collection via agents and a big data pipeline delivering data transformation, warehousing, and analytics. You will be part of a 12-person team spread across India and the US, bringing together diverse skill sets to build a unified experience for Nutanix customers. This team operates in a hybrid environment, prioritizing fast deliverables while dedicating time for vital cross-geo collaboration and technical mentorship.

Your Role

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between CAD $151,000 and CAD $227,000 per year.

Work Arrangement Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Vancouver, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
