Job summary

Coach Canada is seeking a professional and safety-focused Bus/Motorcoach Driver to support both scheduled line-run services and charter operations. You will serve as a front-line ambassador, delivering reliable transportation across fixed routes and charter groups such as corporate events.

Responsibilities include operating buses safely, performing inspections, logging trips, and delivering courteous customer service to passengers while adhering to regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Valid Ontario Class BZ licence with Z endorsement.
  • Clean driver’s abstract and strong safety record.
  • Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience (motorcoach preferred).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain MTO medical clearance.
  • Valid passport and eligibility for U.S. cross-border travel.
  • Ability to meet DOT/FMCSA requirements.
  • Fluent spoken and written English required to ensure safe communication with passengers, dispatch, and emergency services.

  • Safely operate motorcoaches (up to 45 feet) in all weather and traffic conditions.
  • Follow assigned routes, schedules, and dispatch instructions.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Provide courteous, professional customer service to passengers.
  • Assist passengers with luggage and accessibility needs, including wheelchair securement.
  • Accurately complete driver logs, reports, and fare reconciliation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams.
  • Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and transportation regulations.

This role is critical to delivering reliable transportation across fixed routes while also providing customized travel experiences for charter clients, including corporate groups, tours, and special events. Drivers serve as front-line ambassadors of the organization, ensuring every journey is safe, efficient, and aligned with our service standards.

  • Compliance Requirements: This is a safety-sensitive position. All drivers are required to participate in and comply with applicable drug and alcohol testing programs, including pre-employment, random, post-incident, and reasonable cause testing as required under applicable regulations, including U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements for cross-border operations. Compliance with all testing protocols and reporting obligations is a condition of employment.
  • Ability to lift luggage (30–50 lbs.) and meet physical demands of commercial driving
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and variable shifts
  • Ability to support a 24/7/365 operation
