Role

The Medium-High Voltage MaintenanceSupervisor develops and supervises the execution of the Preventive Maintenance plan. Ensures systematic failure, problem and performance analysis on equipment, defining corrective actions and generating improvement opportunities. Supports the Engineering area in the research and assessment of the best equipment available and the start up of new pieces of equipment. This role specifically will be responsible of the maintenance and inspection of the Medium/High voltage equipment in Sault Ste. Marie.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Ensures the application of health, safety and environment standards and practices. To comply with HSE procedures, report any incident or observation, perform inspections and participate in the investigation process. Implement the preventive/corrective actions. Keep updated the risk analysis and the environmental aspect assessment.
  • Responsible for performance management of direct reports by consistently applying the CBA and annual performance reviews. This position is a key component in the Maintenance Process.
  • Optimizes reliability and maintainability of equipment by defining the maintenance strategy for each system, developing and supervising the execution of the Preventive Maintenance plan, ensuring systematic failure, problem and performance analysis on equipment, defining corrective actions and generating improvement opportunities, providing technical support to emergency crews and staff areas.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the mill to foster employee engagement, communication and assess work process effectiveness within the team.
  • Draws up the maintenance cost budget and keep costs within agreed limits.
  • Guarantees technical resource availability, ensuring a suitable minimum stock.
  • Manages and updates the maintenance information system and technical documentation, keeping record of the information related to their area.
  • Supports the Engineering area in the research and assessment of the best equipment available and the startup of new pieces of equipment. In addition, support other areas in the definitions related to their area of responsibility.
  • Interacts with internal and/or external contacts with a higher level of autonomy.
  • Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, and ensures adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.
  • Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with and develops their staff and manages HR related activities in line with HR norms and procedures. Protects from damage, theft or misuse the facilities, equipment and other physical resources assigned to their area.
Your Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience in Medium and High Voltage maintenance. Trades work or hands‑on engineering technician is an asset.
  • 8+ years’ experience in a maintenance environment.
  • Post‑secondary education in Electrical Trade (442a), Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Specialization in High/Medium voltage equipment within an Industrial setting is preferred.
  • Applicant must be able to read electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Applicant must be familiar with manufacturing environment safety procedures.
  • Previous experience with SAP PM considered an asset.

Schedule & Working Conditions:
  • 8hr Days – Monday to Friday, with flexibility based on business needs.
  • On‑call rotation.
  • Work is performed in a steel manufacturing mill.
