Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in administering medications to residents. You will support personal care, encourage activity participation, and collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance to uphold the community’s mission and values.

The ideal candidate values teamwork, has a background in elder care, and is comfortable with medication management and resident interactions in a senior living environment.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of medication assistance in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
  • Able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
  • Coordinate medication services with pharmacies and physicians.
  • Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate resident medication and care records.
  • Maintain a safe environment and promote teamwork.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and distribute medication to residentsCoordinate medication services with the resident pharmacy and physicianOrder and track all medication changes refills and deliveries with pharmaciesMaintain accurate complete and confidential resident medication and care recordsMaintain a safe and secure environment for all staff residents and guests following established safety standardsEncourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co workers and other departments
Qualifications
  • Prefer one 1 year of experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly RCFEBased on state regulation completion of trainingcertification may be requiredMust be at least 18 years of ageA high school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN is a plusMust be able to operate MS Office programs Word Excel etcExcellent customer service skillsStrong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needsPossess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees supervisors physicians healthcare professionals residents and their familiesMust pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including physical and TB TestsFor the health and safety of our team members and residents Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate participate in daily screening surveillance testing and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment PPE to prevent the spread of the COVID 19 or other communicable diseases per regulatory guidelines
