WHAT ARE THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB?
- Sales Growth: Meet and exceed sales targets through the development of new accounts and expansion of existing relationships in departments with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR nurses, and managers, pharmacy, health and safety, blood banks, OR purchasing, anesthesia techs and respiratory techs.
- Business Development: Identify, pursue, and convert opportunities within acute care and critical care markets.
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with healthcare professionals, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and hospital administrators.
- Customer Support & Education: Provide product demonstrations, in-servicing, and technical support to clinical staff to drive adoption of solutions.
- Collaboration: Partner with sales management and marketing teams to share customer insights, competitive intelligence, and market opportunities.
- Market Engagement: Attend trade shows, conferences, and conventions to promote products and stay informed on industry developments.
WHAT DOES THE IDEAL CANDIDATE OFFER?
Education & Training
- A college diploma or university degree is valued, but not required.
- A background in business, health sciences, or a related field is an asset.
Work Experience & Accomplishments
- Proven track record of sales success, preferably in medical devices, acute care, or hospital environments.
- Experience building relationships with key clinical stakeholders such as surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR staff, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and purchasing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and close new business opportunities within healthcare markets.

- Strong English communication and interpersonal skills to engage both clinical and administrative decision-makers.
- Ability to quickly develop trust and solid business relationships in key accounts.
- Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills to balance client‑facing and administrative responsibilities.
- Aptitude for understanding clinical products and effectively presenting technical and clinical data.

- Must have access to an insured vehicle that is capable of travelling in the Burlington to Niagara region and have a valid driver's license.
- Residing in the Greater Hamilton area with a fully functional home office is required.
- Legally able to work in Canada.
