Job Purpose

As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Solid Tumors, you will play a key role in advancing GSK’s mission to unite science, technology, and talent to get ahead of disease together. You will act as a trusted scientific partner by engaging with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders across all of Ontario to share insights, provide medical education, and gather valuable feedback to inform our medical strategies. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care while developing deep expertise in oncology and contributing to innovative healthcare solutions.

Working Model

GSK supports hybrid working through our Performance with Choice model. This position offers a mix of remote and field-based work, with flexibility to collaborate virtually and in person as required by business needs.

Geography & Travel Requirements

This role covers all the province of Ontario. The position requires up to 60% + travel within Ontario to collaborate with stakeholders and support business needs.

Details (Your Responsibilities)

This role will provide you the opportunity to lead key activities to progress your career, including:

  • Building and maintaining strong scientific relationships with healthcare professionals and key external experts in the field of oncology.
  • Sharing and discussing scientific data to enhance understanding and support optimal patient care.
  • Gathering and communicating insights from the healthcare community to inform GSK’s medical strategies and research priorities.
  • Representing GSK at national and regional scientific conferences, engaging with experts, and sharing key learnings across teams.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional partners (Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Commercial) to ensure cohesive alignment across the territory.
  • Supporting clinical development activities, including identifying potential trial sites and assisting with investigator-initiated studies.

  • Knowledge of Canadian regulations governing medical information exchange with healthcare professionals.

Preferred Qualifications

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Previous experience in oncology or solid tumors within a Medical Affairs role.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Familiarity with Canadian reimbursement and access processes.
  • Experience in clinical trial site identification and real-world evidence projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic medical plans to achieve defined objectives.
  • Knowledge of Canadian regulations governing medical information exchange with healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to travel extensively (up to 60%) within Ontario.
